Hello, I'm Kays, founder of Blend Society. This journey began in a small cantina in Oaxaca. I was watching the bartender muddle fresh botanicals, squeeze citrus, and pour something that smelled like summer and tasted like somewhere I wanted to stay forever. But here's the thing—I didn't always want the alcohol that came with it.
I'd spent years traveling through Latin America, Europe, and Asia, fascinated by the flavors, the botanicals, the rituals around drinks. The way a negroni in Florence felt different than one in Toronto.
How markets in Colombia overflowed with citrus I'd never seen before. The ceremonial care with which tea was served in Kyoto.
I loved the art of cocktails. The stories they told. The moments they created. I just didn't always want to drink alcohol to experience them. And I wasn't alone in that feeling.
